Well, here we are again, ready to sing the praises of one talented and ambitious young lady, Lauren Keene. The 2023 NJCAA Division III Runner-Up and All-American Athlete The sky is the limit for this girl, and watching her excel has been nothing short of invigorating. Seeing people achieve success is always great, but seeing somebody who has worked so hard for it takes that satisfaction to a whole other level. During the race in Alabama, as I was frantically running around the course to shout words of encouragement to Lauren, I couldn't help but feel emotional; tears filled my eyes. She was soaring (like the eagle she is). I think part of this emotion came from knowing her so well and seeing the time and effort she put into her training, on the good days and the bad. Along with truly getting to know her heart, which is pure and godly, I can go on for days about Lauren and how truly wonderful she is, but I don't think words will ever quite express just how proud I am—how proud we all are. She represents SWCC very well in her mannerisms and attitude, along with her athletic achievements; we are sure thrilled to call her one of our own!
