Women's Soccer Places four on All-Region Team
The Flying Eagles Women’s Soccer team placed four student athletes on the All-Region teams voted on by the coaches in the Region. Sophomores Anna Museler and Akailah Detton landed on the 1st team, and Sophomore JordAnne Antoine and Freshman Reygan Newcomer were both selected Honorable Mention.
Sophomore Anna Museler, a Dresden Germany native, was selected to the 1st team for the first time in her career. Museler finished the season with 7 goals and 1 assist during the 2024 season. The midfielder finished her Southwest career with 10 goals, 2 assists and a First and Second team All-Region award.
Sophomore Akailah Detton, a midfielder from Las Vegas Nevada, joined Museler on the First Team also for the first time in her career. Detton finished the 2024 season leading the Flying Eagles with 8 goals. She recorded two hat tricks this season, one against four-year NAIA school Alice Lloyd and the other against Louisburg College. Detton had a breakthrough season as a key attacking piece for the Flying Eagles. The midfielder finishes her Southwest career with 8 goals and First and Second team All-Region award.
JordAnne Antoine, a sophomore defender from Trinadad, was named Honorable Mention for the second time in her Southwest career. Antoine was a key piece to the Flying Eagles defense, anchoring the team as a center back for most of the season. Jordy was a 2nd Team All-Region award winner in 2023.
Freshman goalkeeper, Reygan Newcomer earned Honorable Mention honors in her first season with the Flying Eagles. The Charleston West Virginia native finished the season ranked second in the Region with 43 saves on the season. Newcomer finished the season with a .643 save percentage and 3 shutouts.
