Featured Athlete of the month, Amber Kimberlin
After her incredible performance on Sophomore Night, Amber Kimberlin has earned the spot of featured athlete!
Kimberlin, a two-year starter for the Lady Eagles basketball team, has come up big recently, putting on some memorable performances, including the program's first triple double against Brunswick Community College. She is currently averaging 10.6 points per game, 7.2 rebounds per game, and 4.9 assists per game. Amber isn’t just in the history book for this women’s basketball feat, she's also the program leader in assists and steals! Amber has done an incredible job representing the Flying Eagles both on the court and on the soccer field. This fall she scored the first goal in women’s soccer program history. When asked about his star sophomore, this is what coach Thad Lambert had to say: “Amber Kimberlin is the ultimate teammate who is always willing to put the good of the team before herself. She is one of the hardest-working players that I’ve coached and a true leader on and off the court. Amber is a true example of what we want SWCC women’s basketball to be about.”
