Richlands, Va. — Nancy Jo Roberts was in control from the first pitch and went on to throw a complete game shutout in a 6-0 win over Camp Community College on Saturday afternoon from Richlands High School.
Roberts gave up just one hit, while striking out six over the seven innings.
The Flying Eagles had eight of their nine starters record a hit, and scored at least one run in five of the six innings. Haley Kirkpatrick went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Eagles in hits. Kallista Deprimo hit her third home run of the season in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Four different Eagles hit a double that included: Ginger Short, Olivia Absher, Caroline Roberts, and Haley Kirkpatrick.
