BAILEYTON, Tenn. — Skylar Vance placed 3rd overall — out of over 40 qualifiers — in what was an overall strong performance from the men's and women's cross country teams at the Baileyton Celebration 5K on Saturday evening.

Vance finished with a time of 21:13. The rest of the men's results were as follows: James Cress - 5th overall, Jacob Dowell - 8th overall, Zachary Barnett - 10th overall, and Spencer Matda - 11th overall.

Morgan Lane placed 2nd overall in the 20-24 female age group.

Next, the team hosts the Lake Witten Invitational in Tazewell on Sept. 18.
