Flying Eagles Open Spring Season with Solid Performances at Stith Golf/SCC Flyers Spring Intercollegiate

The Southwest Virginia Community College Men’s Golf team kicked off their spring season this week at the Stith Golf/SCC Flyers Spring Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday, held at the Longleaf Golf and Family Club.
The Flying Eagles wrapped up the two-day event in seventh place out of ten teams, with some solid individual performances. Freshman Jacob Lasley led the way for SWCC, finishing in 30th place with a total score of 169 over both rounds. Not far behind, fellow freshman Colin McClintic tied for 34th with a 172. Jackson Cook rounded out the top finishers for the team, placing 38th with a two-day score of 176.
Next up, the Flying Eagles will be back in action on Monday, March 31, at the Cleveland State Invitational.
