Thad Lambert is entering his 6^th season as the head coach of the SWCC women’s basketball program in 2023–24. Coach Lambert currently has a 72-43 record at the helm of the Lady Eagles program. The Lady Eagles began the 2024 season ranked #10 nationally.

In the 2022–23 season, Coach Lambert led his team to the Region 10 conference tournament semifinals and finished the season ranked 3^rd nationally in 3-pointers. All Conference sophomore Liyah French ended the season individually ranked 2^nd nationally in made 3 pointers.

Prior to his stint at SWCC, Lambert was the head girls’ basketball coach at Tennessee High School. Lambert was also the head boys’ basketball coach for ten seasons at Lebanon High School. Coach Lambert has over 150 victories as a high school head coach. Coach Lambert's 2010 boys team played in the VHSL final four, and Lambert was named Region D Coach of the Year.

Lambert is a 1994 graduate of Lebanon High School and a 2000 graduate of Virginia Intermont College, where he graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in business administration/education. Coach Lambert, his wife Misty, and his son Andy currently reside in Lebanon, VA.
