When asked about the Southwest Men’s and Women’s Tennis Programs, Coach Joseph Trivette had this to say…

“Both programs are looking up. The Men’s team for next year is already at 10 players with many good hitters. The Women’s team will be rebuilding after losing 4 dedicated, strong players but, with the dorms and our indoor tennis facility, recruiting is going well. We look forward to re-establishing our relationships with East Tennessee State, Western Carolina, and Radford Club teams as well as 4-year schools like Johnson University, Johnson and Wales, Pfeiffer University, and University of Pikeville. The highlights of our program continue to be player development, our practice ethic, and comradery. All our players represented themselves and Southwest with the highest level of sportsmanship and class. Our Women’s team won the GPA award. We even have some left-handed recruits coming in next year. The future is bright! Our outdoor courts have recently been refinished. I look forward to working with these student athletes.”
