Jerriah Love scored a game-high 21 points and Jacob Deel added 15 points, however the Flying Eagles came up short 86-80 in their first conference game of the new season against Vance-Granville Community College. 

With the loss, the Flying Eagles moved to 0-2 on the season, with an 0-1 record inside Region X.

The Flying Eagles will take the court again on Wednesday night when they face off against Combine Academy in a non-conference game at 7:00pm. This will be the third game in a five game homestand to open the season for Coach Boyd's Flying Eagles team.
